MOSCOW, Oct 25 (PRIME) -- Ukrainian metals holding Metinvest of tycoon Rinat Akhmetov has filed lawsuits against Russia to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

It said that 16 Metinvest’s subsidiaries filed suits to the court, whose jurisdiction Russia left, demanding redemption of the damage inflicted on the group’s property and assets in the city of Mariupol and in the other territories of Ukraine since February 24, while another 10 companies are to file similar lawsuits until the end of 2022, the company said.

Akhmetov previously filed a suit to the ECHR demanding redemption of financial damage inflicted on his companies during the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
